“A nap, an ice cream and I recorded”: Duo, friendship, projects… the secrets of Renaud and Vianney

We meet Renaud and Vianney Thursday, November 30 in the morning, at the café-HQ of the first, boulevard du Montparnasse, in Paris. They both arrive with a disc under their arm. Renaud with his new album “In my ropes”, released the next day. The 71-year-old singer reinterprets thirteen of his classics with the superb arrangements of the two string quartets who accompany him on the tour of the same name – which returns to Paris four times in December and will be extended until the end of 2024 – and offers as a bonus four live tracks which testify to the fervor that reigns in his concerts. Vianney, for his part, arrived with his album of duets, “À 2 à 3”, which was number two in sales and went gold (50,000 copies) in just three weeks.
