Another employee of “AbzasMedia” was detained

Another employee of the AbzasMedia website, journalist Nargiz Absalamova, was detained on Thursday, Interior Ministry spokesman Elshad Hajiyev told BBC Azerbaijan, but he did not provide information about the reason for the journalist’s detention.

“Nargiz Absalamova was detained, an investigation is currently underway,” said the spokesperson of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Relatives of the journalist connected the detention of Nargiz Absalamova with the accusations brought against the leaders of AbzasMedia.

Prior to that, the leaders of AbzasMedia were arrested for 4 months on charges of smuggling. Journalists explain their arrests by professional activity.
