Minister directs police to rescue retired Anganwadi worker stuck in Malaysia

Thirukanwar: The Minister has directed Namachivayam Police SP to rescue a retired Anganwadi worker who got stuck in Malaysia after going to work.

Rani Mangatthal, 63, from Katerikuppam, Mannadipattu block; A retired Anganwadi worker. A few months ago, she moved to Malaysia to work with a private agency in Puducherry.

In this case, she contacted her friend PS Palayam BJP executive Anusuvai on her mobile phone. In it, the founder of the Puducherry agency that sent her to Malaysia asked her to pay him the first ten months of her salary. When she refused, he said that she was being detained and tortured by the Malaysian agency and that steps should be taken to rescue her.

BJP executive Anusuwai informed about this to Minister Namachivayath and got Rani Mangatala to speak on her mobile phone.

After this, Minister Namachivayam called Western Region Police SP, Vamsidhareddy and ordered to immediately take steps to bring Rani Mangatala from Malaysia.
