Professor of the Acting Technician course for Cinema and TV, Ale Tosi, is Casting Director in the film Pedágio, directed by Carol Markowicz, which premiered in theaters and was announced by the Brazilian Academy of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts as one of the films eligible to represent Brazil at the 2024 Oscars.

Produced by Bionica Filmes, Globo Filmes, Paramount Brasil and O Som e a Fúria Filmes, the film had its world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival in September, being the only Brazilian fiction feature film to participate in the event.

The story follows Suellen (Maeve Jinking), a toll collector who realizes she can use her work to make extra income illegally. Her goal is to finance her son’s trip to a gay cure taught by a famous foreign pastor.

Ale Tosi has significant partnerships with Netflix, Gullane Entretenimento, Globoplay, having worked on the cast production of works such as “Como Nosso Pais”, “Rotas do Ódio”, “O Pai Ó”, “Sintonia”, “Rensga Hits” and a lot more! With her expertise, she teaches classes on how students can prepare their material and present themselves to the job market.
