Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has signed a major investment deal with American investment company Arctos Partners, allowing the company to purchase up to 12.5 percent of the French club’s shares. According to reports, the French champion is valued at 4.25 billion euros, making it the highest estimate ever for a football club.

The partnership, which was officially announced today, will enable Arctos Partners to play a role in PSG’s strategic real estate initiatives, including the renovation of the Parc de France stadium and future development phases of the club’s training center.

In addition, the American investment company also pledged to continue promoting women’s football and work together with PSG to invest in other sports. Arctos Partners has ownership in 30 different sports, including various league teams such as NFL, NBA, NHL, and Formula One with Aston Martin.

“The partnership will lay the foundation for PSG’s next phase in global growth and will drive the club’s sporting and business success. The investment will go towards increasing the group’s activity and also supporting the club’s strategic real estate initiatives, including those related to its stadium and future development phases of the leading training center of the French champions,” the official statement of PSG reads.

While PSG will still retain most of the club’s shares and control over it, the agreement with Arctos Partners is seen as a strategic move to help promote the club’s ambitions and continued international expansion.

The Qatari investment fund ‘QSI’, which owns PSG, acquired the club from the French capital in 2011 for 70 million euros. The deal with Arctos Partners marks a significant step in the club’s continued growth and development on a global scale.
