Tirupur District to Host Kabaddi Tournament in Honor of Karunanidhi’s Centenary
In honor of former Chief Minister Karunanidhi’s centenary, the Tirupur District Sports Development Authority will be hosting a men’s and women’s kabaddi tournament at Gayatri Mahal, Kangayam Road, Tirupur on the 9th of this month.
According to the district’s Sports Officer Raghu Kumar, there is no age limit to participate in the competition, and there is no entry fee. However, participants must weigh in at 85 kg for men and 75 kg for women. Additionally, only residents of Tirupur district are eligible to participate in the tournament.
Certificates will be presented to the winning team and players, and cash prizes will also be awarded to the victorious teams. The tournament is being coordinated by the Tirupur District Kabaddi Association.
Kumar encouraged interested and talented male and female players and teams to take part in the event, and for more information and registration, individuals are encouraged to call 74017 03515.
This is expected to be a noteworthy and celebratory event in honor of Karunanidhi, and participants and spectators alike are encouraged to join in the festivities.
