The French group, leader in the Moroccan aeronautical industry, is committed to continuing its development there.

This Wednesday, December 6, Olivier Andriès, CEO of Safran, shook up his schedule to meet Aziz Akhannouch, the Moroccan Prime Minister, in Rabat for an impromptu interview. This, in the wake of the signing between Safran and the kingdom of a framework agreement aimed at intensifying their “mutual commitment to the development of the aeronautical industrial ecosystem in Morocco“. The ceremony, which took place in front of around fifty journalists, made the front page of the television news.

Olivier Andriès is received as a head of state in the Cherifian kingdom. Because the French engine and equipment manufacturer has become, in a few years, the leader in the local aeronautical sector with 4,200 employees, spread across eight sites and joint ventures in Rabat and Casablanca. Aeronautics is one of the three “global professions”, alongside automobiles and electronics, in which Morocco has decided to specialize and improve its skills.
