Celebrating 119 years of existence is a feat that few companies can boast.
I recently had the privilege of participating in “Conversations with Purpose”, an initiative led by Pedro Carvajal, president of Carvajal, the Cali company that has set the course of the industry for more than a century.
This experience was exciting, motivating and inspiring from start to finish.
What captivated me most was the purpose that drives Carvajal.
These are not simply words in a Power Point presentation, but concrete actions on a daily basis, actions that Pedro Carvajal eloquently summarizes as “Power Action” and, above all, “Power People”.
The company’s focus is on generating economic and social development, always with human beings at the center of its mission.
In this conversation, unlike conventional institutional events, the protagonists were leaders.
Jeison Aristizabal, Ximena Cangrejo and Andrew Silva shared their stories, highlighting how the actions of “ordinary” people can transform lives and communities.
Likewise, we heard the experiences of two Carvajal collaborators whose lives have been forged thanks to stable, quality work.
These testimonies reflect the company’s commitment not only to its employees, but also to building happy lives, full of dreams and projects.
Carvajal is part of Compromiso Valle, an initiative of businessmen committed to teamwork between citizens and companies to build a better future.
This conversation urged us to reflect not only on our individual purposes, but also on how to put them into practice and how each one, from their own space, can contribute to the well-being of others.
