Adivasi youth, Krishna Kutty, tragically lost his life in a bear attack at Idukki Rick. The incident occurred while Krishna was collecting forest resources inside the tiger sanctuary in Vandiperiyar. The attack left him severely injured, and despite the efforts of those present, Krishna Kutty did not survive.
According to reports, after the attack, Krishna Kutty was rushed to Pirumedu Taluk Hospital where he received primary treatment. However, due to the severity of his injuries, he was subsequently transferred to Sham Kottayam Medical College.
The attack left Krishna Kutty with injuries to his hand and leg. The Adivasi community and local authorities are mourning the loss of this young life and are calling for increased safety measures in the area to prevent such tragic incidents from occurring in the future.
