Carlos Gandica is the demonstration that, definitively, “the sky is the limit” and not even anymore.

Throughout his professional career, the social communicator has gained experience in Venezuela as an anchor on the El Siglo digital newscast; in the program “Promo Music”, on Guay 91.7 FM, host of “El Mágico Mundo de TVS”; and narrator of the meridian newscast; and in front of the magazine “Moviendo La Mañana”; as well as on Color TV, Orbivisión and Canal de Noticias.

However, nine years ago he decided to expand his wide angle, packed his bags and settled in the United States, a country where he currently works as presenter and producer of “Acceso Total”, broadcast by Telemundo Fort Myers-Naples. Previously, he had already worked at Go TV Honduras and EVTV Miami.

“At EVTV Miami I was lucky to work with some very generous people like Leopoldo Castillo, Carla Angola, Waleska Manzi, MaríaAlejandra Salas, Sheina Chang and José Pernalete, I learned a lot from all of them and I will always be grateful to them,” he comments, at the same time which highlights that, for a large part of his career path, he has focused on the role of television entertainer.

“I grew up watching ‘Sábado Sensacional’ and ‘Sábado Gigante’ in Venezuela. For me, Amador Bendayán, Gilberto Correa, Daniel Sarcos, Leonardo Villalobos and Don Francisco are great references. I have admiration and respect for them. They all marked a before and after on television, they lent their identity to very successful programs, which reached millions of homes in Latin America. I could also mention Nelson Bustamante, How can I forget ‘Dare to Dream’? “, he highlights.

“All these figures taught me that you have to imprint your essence on what you do, it is the only way to connect with the public. I saw from them how for years they gave great moments to television, to people at home; that’s fascinating. No matter how many years pass, people will always know who they are and what they did. “His mark is indelible,” she continues.

And although he nostalgically remembers the names of the characters who have been his professional references, Gandica closes the year that ends with a flourish, after having been recognized with two Telly Awards, one silver for producing and hosting the program “Fort Myers Our ”; and the bronze for producing and participating as a talent in the “Acceso Total” promo.

On the other hand, Gandica refers to the greatest learning that he has accumulated throughout his career in the United States.

“I am a confirmed optimist and I learned that when I emigrated. Now, I focus on the positive in everything, there is always something positive in absolutely everything that happens to us, even if sometimes it is not visible. Life has also shown me that there is no point in competing, much less comparing yourself with others. There is only one Carlos Gandica, there is only one Juan, there is only one María. Everyone is living their own process and times are different. I have learned that always, no matter the circumstance, you should give the best you have in everything. It is the only way to stand out from the crowd,” he asserts.
