Gokulam Kerala FC Suffers Defeat Against Real Kashmir in I-League Football
Srinagar: Gokulam Kerala FC faced their second defeat of the season in I-League football as they lost to Real Kashmir by three goals at the Polo Synthetic Turf ground on Monday. Chriso’s double goal and Jeremy Laldinpia’s goal led Kashmir to victory.
With this loss, Real Kashmir secured third place in the points table with five wins, two draws, and two losses from nine games. Meanwhile, Gokulam finished in sixth place with three wins, four draws, and two losses in as many games. Muhammadan SC is currently at the top of the table, followed by Aizawl FC in second place.
Real Kashmir scored one goal in the first half and two goals in the second half. Chriso netted the ball twice in the 31st and 65th minutes, while Laldinpia also found the back of the net in the 59th minute. Gokulam has struggled in their recent games, losing to Shillong and drawing with Churchill, Samdhari, and Mohammedan clubs before facing Real Kashmir.
The defeat against Real Kashmir marks Gokulam’s fifth consecutive game without a win. The team will be looking to turn their luck around in the upcoming games to climb up the points table in the I-League football.
