Milan, 11 December. (askanews) – “We are convinced that the salary is not just a number, but a complex of things that only collective bargaining can highlight and fully implement to also help poor workers”. This was underlined by Giovanni Di Nunno, vice-president of Confcooperative Lavoro e Servizi, on the sidelines of an event dedicated to contracts and wages which was organized by the association at Pirellone.
“Article 11 of the new procurement code establishes the obligation on the part of the public administration to indicate the reference contract to be included in the tender during the drafting phase of tenders”, recalls Di Nunno.
To achieve the objectives, says the vice-president of Confcooperative Lavori e Servizi, a “cultural process is needed: we have been working on it since 7 February 2023, before the new code came into force, because we strongly believe in the fact that if together with the union and let the State also be involved in the enterprise”. Making “the three actors” work together, he concludes, is “the only way to make the recognition of good wages effective”.
