Azerbaijan is ready to host COP29.
According to Day.Az, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Mukhtar Babayev said during the COP28 conference held in Dubai (UAE).
“I am pleased to announce that Azerbaijan is ready to host COP29 in 2024. With its rich cultural heritage and dynamic energy, Azerbaijan will be the right platform for the world community to come together again to solve the pressing challenges of our time,” he said.
Babayev thanked the current chairman of the COP for his leadership and support during COP28.
“We are committed to working closely with the United Arab Emirates and Brazil, the host of COP30, to ensure a smooth transition and the sustainability of our joint efforts. We recognize the importance of a coordinated global response to climate change and, through joint initiatives, are committed to increasing our impact and moving towards a sustainable future.” we are trying to speed up progress,” the minister said.
