Soft engineer causes chaos in village, forces residents to pay fines

BENGALURU: More than 80 people in a village in Kanakapura, Ramnagar have been forced to pay fines unnecessarily due to the actions of a local software engineer.

Lokesh, 29, installed a surveillance camera in his house and uploaded photos of vehicles violating traffic rules in his village onto the ‘Public Eye’ mobile app, launched by the Bengaluru Traffic Police. This led to the traffic police issuing notices to the owners of the vehicles in the photos, causing over 80 villagers to pay fines.

The villagers are now demanding action be taken against Lokesh, who is a software engineer at a private company. They feel that he misused the mobile app, leading to chaos in the village.

When questioned about his actions, Lokesh claimed that he was testing the app and that there was a glitch in the system. However, the villagers have condemned his actions and believe that he should be held responsible for the fines they were forced to pay.

It remains to be seen what action, if any, will be taken against Lokesh for his actions, as the village is left in a state of confusion and resentment towards the software engineer.
