Adam Driver and wife Joanne Tucker welcome baby daughter, sources say

Adam Driver and his wife Joanne Tucker welcomed a baby daughter earlier this year, as the Oscar-nominated actor recently publicly announced the new addition to the family.

The announcement was made during a rehearsal session ahead of Driver’s Saturday Night Live hosting stint over the weekend, sources told Page Six. Driver, who plays Enzo Ferrari in the forthcoming biopic Ferrari, made the reveal as he went over his opening monologue.

“Last year, I asked for a baby girl, and I got it, which is exhausting – so this year, I wish for Ambien!” Driver said.

This is not the first time Driver has announced the birth of his children during a hosting stint on SNL. In January 2020, he announced, “I’m a husband. And a father. It’s in that order though. I’ve been very clear with my son about that, he’s second in everything.”

Sources close to Driver and his spouse had previously hinted at the pregnancy on Instagram accounts, with Tucker’s sister posting images from a joint baby shower referring to them as “new moms.”

Driver and Tucker initially crossed paths while studying at The Juilliard School and tied the knot in June of 2013. Both are actors, with Tucker appearing alongside her spouse in the 2019 film The Report and in a 2016 episode of the HBO series Girls.

They welcomed a son in 2016 and have just announced the birth of their daughter. Driver and Tucker have not spoken publicly about their children, but Driver did reference being a parent in a February 2017 interview with W magazine.
