“After accounting for the effect of inflation, income in Bulgaria grow the most in the European Union’. This is what the Minister of Finance said Asen Vassilev at the presentation of the draft Budget 2024.
The financial framework is calculated at an average annual inflation of 4.8 percent next year. According to the minister, it will most likely be lower, as the forecast is based on the progress of the last two months as well.
The budget lays down many policies oriented towards families with children and aims to bring young people back to our country.
„In order for the Bulgarian economy to grow, there must be investment, but the other important thing is that there must be adequate pay. And incomes in two very difficult years – after Covid and the crisis related to the war in Ukraine and the energy crisis – in Bulgaria, after accounting for the effect of inflation, incomes are growing the fastest in the whole EU„.
