San Salvador. As part of the preventive actions, the El Salvador Fire Department began this Friday the inspection of authorized rocket stations, to prevent events that put the lives of Salvadorans at risk.
Today the Godzilla rocketry was visited, in the El Ranchador canton, department of Santa Ana. “We verified that the security measures are complete to be able to attend to any type of emergencies that may arise in the place,” justified the Fire Corps inspector. , Marcos Sandoval.
There, and in the remaining actions, the fire extinguishers, evacuation signs, substitute measures such as barrels or containers with water were verified to be able to deal with a fire outbreak.
Sandoval confirmed that the owner of the factory has all the permits granted by the Ministries of National Defense and Health, in addition to the certifications by the Fire Department, for the production and marketing of pyrotechnic products.
The factory representative, Óscar Ernesto Hernández, observed the actions of the Firefighters as very positive “because they help us organize our work (…).”
Firefighters are authorized to carry out these inspections, to determine if the place where gunpowder is manufactured and sold complies with the requirements established by law, such as the location of fire extinguishers, exits and evacuation routes, in the event of an emergency.
This action responds to the need to prevent accidents in establishments that could lead to explosions or fires and consequently cause injuries and even human losses. The Government of El Salvador will maintain surveillance in these businesses to avoid tragedies, to enjoy these holidays in peace and safety for everyone.
