Paris Saint-Germain managed to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League on Wednesday despite a draw conceded at Borussia Dortmund (1-1).

It was the match of the year for PSG, the match of its survival in the Champions League. The Parisians conceded a draw (1-1) on Wednesday December 13 against Borussia Dortmund on the last day of the group stage of the Champions League. But this draw was enough for the Parisians to qualify for the round of 16 of the competition, thanks in particular to the score of the other Group F match between Newcastle and AC Milan (1-2) which was played at the same time.
A first period full of opportunities
Between PSG and Borussia Dortmund, the first half was rich in opportunities for both sides. The first ten minutes were balanced, with both teams attempting incursions and combinations without managing to create any big chances.
From the 10th minute, the opportunities multiply. In the 14th minute, Marius Wolf found himself alone against Gianluigi Donnarumma in the Parisian penalty area, but saw his attempt go wide.

From the start of the second half, the Parisians went on the attack. In the 49th minute, Achraf Hakimi collected a cross from Kylian Mbappé in the Borussia Dortmund penalty area, but saw his shot blocked at the last minute by a BVB defender.
We had to wait until the 51st minute to see the opening score. It is for Borussia Dortmund, with a goal signed by Karim Adeyemi with the help of the post. The Parisians did not take long to respond, through Warren Zaire-Emery who equalized in the 56th minute with a powerful strike at the entrance to the BVB penalty area, after an action initiated by an overflow from Kylian Mbappé on the side LEFT. The opportunities then become rarer. At the start of the last quarter of an hour of play (76th), Achraf Hakimi sent a deep pass to Kylian Mbappé, who managed to slip the ball into the back of the net, scoring the second Parisian goal. The score will no longer move. Paris and Borussia Dortmund part with a draw (1-1), but that is enough for the Parisians to qualify for the round of 16 of the Champions League. PSG finished second in Group F, behind BVB. The adventure continues for the Parisian club.
