Gérard Larcher was not invited to the meeting which took place this Thursday, December 13 in the morning in Matignon (Paris, 7th), between Élisabeth Borne and the leaders of the right, Éric Ciotti, Olivier Marleix, Bruno Retailleau and Annie Genevard . But while the latter were scrambling with the Prime Minister, Retailleau still wanted to invite the powerful President of the Senate!

The President of the Republicans in the Senate therefore interrupted the meeting by dialing Larcher’s number so… that he could witness this commitment from the head of government: to note by mail that a text integrating a reform of the State medical aid (AME) would soon be put on the agenda. This is the sine qua none condition for the LRs to agree to withdraw this point from the immigration bill, during the Joint Joint Commission (CMP) next Monday.
