One hundred and twenty-five tons of committed foods, which include rice, beans, cassava and tomatoes, with early evaluations for the inclusion of a greater volume of meat product offers, are projected for this New Year’s Eve Fair to be held on December 30 from 6:30 in the morning in the usual space occupied by the Artemisa agricultural fair.
Yadiel Pérez Miranda, vice mayor who manages the Food Program in the municipality, explained that the Fair will be divided into two offering spaces and one parking space. “From Calle 35 to 37 via Calle 36, and the car parking area located on Avenida 26 and the CVD Court will be enabled for bicycles and motorcycles.”
Ricardo Concepción Rodríguez, governor of Artemisa, emphasized adhering to the prices already established and reaching agreements for other products with the actors in the economy. “There are sales prices for food and salads that are already established, but it is the municipality’s task to agree with the self-employed workers and MSMEs that are going to be inserted in the Fair, the sales prices there for products that are not contemplated in the a planned regulations.”
Producer to producer confirmed there their commitment to various crops and mini-industries, which is why chopped fruits, sour orange juices, vinegar and dry wine will also find space on the sales counters.
Within the sales area itself, there will be a specific space for a Commercial Technology Fair with attractive proposals where self-employed workers, MSMEs and artisans will join. “The main thing is that people can use payment through digital platforms everywhere, but here there must be special modules,” said Yamina Duarte Duarte, vice governor.
Meanwhile, Gladys Martínez Verdecia, member of the Political Bureau and First Secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Party, urged farmers and economic actors to think with their hearts. “Let’s think about the retiree, about the mother who is alone with a single salary, about the average salary in this province and let’s think about how we can help them have a decent New Year’s Eve dinner. We don’t want anyone to lose money, but it’s time to think about those who need an affordable price.”
