San Salvador. 40 talented Central American businesswomen, of which 7 are Salvadoran, are taking the rigorous business acceleration program Leads Academy for Women 2023 edition of the Center for Inclusive and Sustainable Leadership (CELIS) ​​​​of INCAE, thanks to the scholarships awarded by Banco Industrial.

These scholarships boost their empowerment and strengthen their entrepreneurial skills.

The main objective of this program is to provide the scholarship recipients with the necessary tools and knowledge to manage their businesses comprehensively.

“We are very satisfied to see that the businesswomen have acquired solid skills and strategic knowledge that will strengthen their own companies and will also contribute to sustainable economic development and growth in the region”, indicated María Alicia Mayorga, General Manager of Banco Industrial El Salvador, an institution that participates in this program.

The group of beneficiaries who are part of Leads Academy For Women 2023 come from various sectors in Central America, reflecting a wide range of industries that contribute to the economic growth of the region. Furthermore, their level of education is high, with 60% of the beneficiaries already graduated from university, 35% with master’s degrees or doctorates, and 5% in the process of continuing training.

The impact generated through these small and medium-sized businesses extends across a variety of sectors, including eight food production or packaging companies, six in food services, six in textiles, seven in industry, three in distribution. of products, two in agriculture, two in design and advertising, two in services, technology, one in health and one focused on education.

“This group is an example that the capacity they have and their innovation has no limits, which is why it is so important to support them and give them the necessary tools to grow,” mentioned Gabriela Lucke, Director of CELIS.
