Ana Botínthe president of Santander Bankhas acquired a package of 312,157 shares of the entity for an amount of 1,186 million euros, according to the notification sent to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
The president of Banco Santander has in this way reinvested the profits she obtained in the liquidation last Friday, December 15, of a package of stock options.
On that date, the options package on 2.1 million shares that Ana Botín purchased in 2021 through his company Cronje, at a price of 2.6565 euros. The strike price at that time was 3.25 euros, compared to 3.80 euros per title last Friday, which implies an increase of 16.9%.
Ana Botín has thus taken advantage of the liquidation of these options to obtain the new package of shares.
Currently, the president of Banco Santander owns 32.6 million shares of the entity, both directly and indirectly.
Since she was appointed president of Santander Bank In September 2014, Ana Botín has invested a total of 46.5 million euros in shares of the entity, adding purchases in the market, capital increase, and ‘script dividend’.
