CCI Benin and ADPME sign a memorandum of understanding

On Monday, December 18, 2023, the signing of a memorandum of understanding took place in Cotonou between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Benin (CCI Benin) represented by its Secretary General, Raymond ADJAKPA ABILE, and the Agency of Development of Small and Medium Enterprises (ADPME) represented by its General Director, Mr. Edouard SEHLIN. This is with a view to the promotion and development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

The partnership agreement signed between the CCI Benin and ADPME aims to enable ADPME, Single Window for SMEs, to successfully carry out its mission: that of contributing to the promotion and development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises through orientation, achievement, financing and facilitation of access to markets. Director General of ADPME, Édouard SEHLIN, explained that thanks to this memorandum of understanding, the Agency will rely on the role and missions of the Consular Chambers to deploy services throughout the national territory. public services for the benefit of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises with an integrated offer of guidance, information, support and facilitation of access to financing. He subsequently explains that ADPME’s vision for 2030 is to see competitive Beninese micro, small and medium-sized enterprises emerge by driving the structural transformation of the economy, thus offering sustainable prosperity throughout Benin. . In this agreement, three (03) areas of collaboration were identified by the stakeholders. This concerns in particular the training of operational executives and focal points of the Consular Chambers (CCI Benin, CMA -Benin – CNAB) in all ADPME systems and tools; the joint deployment of activities for the benefit of MSMEs throughout the national territory; and the operational implementation of certain activities of the Benin Entrepreneurship Support Project (PAEB). The scope of collaboration can be broadened to any area or any type of activity allowing the strengthening and development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in Benin. The Secretary General of the CCI Benin, Raymond ADJAKPA ABILE, praised the consistency of the Government in the various decision-making, until the creation of the ADPME. He is committed with the entire CCI Benin team to working in perfect collaboration with those responsible for the Agency to achieve the objectives, with a view to the development of MSMEs in Benin.
