Two IDF Soldiers Martyred in Gaza Battles

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has released the names of two soldiers who fell in battles in the Gaza Strip on Thursday. The two martyrs were identified as Lieutenant Shay Aili, 21, from Ashkelon, and Major General (res.) Tal Shua, 31, from Be’er Sheva.

Lieutenant Shay Aili was a cadet in the ‘Vine’ battalion at the officers’ school and served as a fighter in the special rescue tactical unit (669). He fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. His funeral is scheduled for today, the 10th of Tevet Hatashpad, at the Ashkelon cemetery.

Major General (res.) Tal Shua was a fighter in the 7071 Engineering Battalion, Kiryiti Brigade (4), and fell in battle in the south of the Gaza Strip.

Additionally, a reservist in the 8104 Battalion and a fighter in the Shaked Battalion, as well as a fighter in the 12th Battalion, were all seriously injured in separate battles in the Gaza Strip. They have been evacuated to receive medical treatment, and their families have been informed.

Since October 7, a total of 471 soldiers have fallen whose names have been allowed to be published.

The IDF continues to engage in battles in the Gaza Strip, and the news of these two brave soldiers’ sacrifice serves as a solemn reminder of the ongoing conflict in the region.
