Actor Charlie Sheen Allegedly Attacked by Neighbor in Malibu

On Wednesday, December 20th, actor Charlie Sheen was allegedly attacked in his home in the upscale beachside neighborhood of Malibu in California. The attacker, identified as 47-year-old Electra Schrock, was later arrested by police.

According to reports, Schrock forced her way into Sheen’s home after he opened the door and attempted to strangle the star, ripping his shirt in the process. Sheen, who is best known for his role in the hit television sitcom Two and a Half Men, was not seriously injured in the assault.

A Los Angeles police spokesperson stated, “The suspect, Electra Schrock, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, force likely to create great bodily injury … and residential burglary.”

Sheriff’s deputies arrived at Sheen’s home in Malibu at about 1 pm after receiving a 911 call. The motive for the attack was not immediately clear.

Schrock, who reportedly lived in an apartment on the same street as the actor, had previously pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor elder abuse charge.

This is not the first brush with the law for Sheen, who has openly documented his battles with substance abuse and has been arrested multiple times in the past. In 1996, he was charged with assaulting his then-girlfriend, and in 2009, he was arrested in Aspen, Colorado, after a domestic violence incident involving his then-wife.

Sheen’s controversial statements about the co-creator of Two and a Half Men led to his firing from the hit show in 2011. Following his departure from the show, Sheen embarked on a nationwide tour titled “My Violent Torpedo of Truth / Defeat Is Not an Option.”

Schrock was expected to be arraigned at the Van Nuys courthouse on Friday, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
