The Municipality of Dodoni, through the Community Center and the “Help at Home” Program, proceeded with another distribution of food and basic necessities ahead of the Christmas holidays.
The distribution of the festive packages, which was done at home, concerned a total of 197 households, of which 105 belong to the category of vulnerable fellow citizens (disabled, long-term unemployed and families with low incomes, who live permanently in the four Municipal Units of the Municipality Dodonis) and the 92 are beneficiaries of the TEBA program. It should be noted that for TEBA beneficiaries there was no other separate distribution during this period.
The municipal authority of the Municipality of Dodoni expresses its sincere thanks to the businesses and organizations that responded to its request for help this year, contributing decisively to the success of this year’s action as well.
The institutions and companies that offered their products or financial assistance are A.P.S.I. “Pindos”, Bletsas-Technologia Zoofofon SA, Ioannina Mills “The Neomartys Georgios” – Zografou Tsombanidis and Sons OE, Tzovaras K. and SIA OE, the Holy Monastery of Durahani, “The MART”, MINERVA SA, “Rainbow Water” and the BioLab Chemical and Microbiological Analysis and Quality Control Research Laboratories.
“The social work of our Municipality continues to be a key component of our policy and will continue to be as long as there are fellow citizens who need our help. This project, thanks to the services of our Municipality, lasts 365 days a year, but especially for festive moments, such as the ones we are going through, we feel a greater obligation to support materially and psychologically our weakest fellow human beings. I have to say once again, a big thank you to the businesses and social agencies, who are willingly on our side when we ask for their help. I wish everyone a happy birthday from the bottom of my heart, with health and strength, so that we can overcome any future difficulties together”, says the mayor of Dodoni, Christos Dakaletsis, in a statement.
