Vin Diesel has come forward publicly after being accused of sexual assault by his assistant, Asta Jonasson, during the filming of the fifth installment of the Fast & Furious saga, back in 2010. The actor has “categorically” denied the facts of which he is accused through a statement shared by his lawyer, Bryan Freedman. The defense points out the existence of evidence that refutes the “extravagant accusations” his client faces.

“Let me be very clear: Vin Diesel categorically denies this claim in its entirety. This is the first time he has heard of this 13+ year old claim made by a supposed 9 day employee. “There is clear evidence that completely refutes these extravagant accusations,” the statement said.
Chronology of events
The lawsuit filed by the victim states that the attack occurred in a suite at the St. Regis hotel. The actor “grabbed Ms. Jonasson’s wrists, one of hers in each of her hands, and led her to the bed,” although she managed to escape from her. Even so, Vin Diesel grabbed her and started touching her without her consent and against her will.
