The mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, has congratulated the president of the Xunta and the Galician PP, Alfonso Rueda, for the “really good” video and shares that he “likes fruit”, as it appears in some frames. “It is a great video that has been made by the PP of Galicia in times of tension,” declared Almeida from the Integrated Center for Security and Emergencies (CISEM), where he congratulated Christmas to the municipal services active during the Christmas Eve. In the video signed by the Galician PP “an allusion is made to the need to integrate around a common project where the metaphor is a bus, which can fit a lot of people.”
Martínez-Almeida has wished Rueda re-election “because it is the best for Galicia” for his “political and professional value.” “I think that is why the Galicians will know how to value it in the elections that are going to be held in the month of February,” he replied to the press. Regarding the allusion ‘I like fruit’ in the video, Almeida has justified that “the only thing he is alluding to is an issue in which there was no insult to the president of the government, Pedro Sánchez, in public but rather it was a reaction by the presidency of the Community, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, to a slander by the president from the rostrum of the Congress of Deputies.”
“Here we are looking at the second part but we are not looking at the first, which is that the president of the Government slandered the president of the Community of Madrid, without the possibility of defense, attributing to her a series of criminal behaviors that the Justice has said that were not such,” he alleged. For all these reasons, the mayor has stated that for all these reasons he shares the expression. “I share what the PP of Galicia says and, therefore, I like fruit,” he concluded.
