In the photographic book of the artists of the agency headed by Lucio Presta’s family, Arcobaleno tre, the smiling face of Amadeus is no longer there. An objective confirmation of the most sensational divorce of recent years in Italian entertainment, between the multi-host of Sanremo and the super agent. Their partnership was one of the ingredients of the Sanremo Festivals made in Amadeus and perhaps Sanremo itself, the strength it gave to Amadeus with the success of its editions made it difficult to continue the relationship with Presta. And the ‘collateral damage’ of the divorce could fall on the next Sanremo: the show lives on guests and competitors and in Presta’s book there are many other photos. However, the golden rule is that the show must go on, so the question is: what, or rather who is in the ‘after Presta’ of Amadeus.
At the top of the list there are three names, one is that of Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Caschetto, highly placed on the television front with names of the caliber of Bruno Vespa and Fabio Fazio, above all with such a variety of actors, directors, authors, presenters and journalists who it could cover an entire schedule. A little less television but much more musical is Ferdinando Salzano, impresario, agent, organizer of live events, record producer and so on. In essence, the man who shines on the music front in Italy with more facets than a diamond. An excellent ‘partner’ for Sanremo.
Or, as has also happened to Italian politics in difficult times, Amadeus could turn to a technician and in this case the name that stands out is that of the lawyer Cesare Patriarca: his firm specializes in copyright and entertainment law and has the trust of many Rai personalities who have a lot to manage, among others Mara Venier and Alberto Angela. Patriarca could easily take care of the existing one, for now, and then ‘add’ to a new agent. Maybe not brand new: a return of Presta? Never say never. Finally, or perhaps on top of all the others, there is the Fiore factor, as Amadeus calls him: what will his brotherly friend Fiorello advise him?
