The 80th day of the ongoing war has seen the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) expanding their operation in the center of the Gaza Strip. Reports from the Palestinians indicate that around 70 individuals have lost their lives in IDF attacks in the Al Ma’azi, Albrij, and Nizirat camps in the region.
Additionally, last night, IDF tanks and artillery targeted Hezbollah infrastructures in the Ayita and Yaron areas in southern Lebanon. This action was in response to launches directed towards the Avivim area.
In a speech addressed to the nation last night, President Herzog emphasized the importance of avoiding divisive rhetoric, stating, “we must not return to the discourse of October 6th, we must not return to the discourse of ‘us and them’. Anyone who returns us to the discourse of October 6th harms the war effort and the security of the country’s citizens. The enemy sees the ego struggles of the politicians and celebrates.”
