The search ended this Saturday, December 23. The individual actively sought by the police since Wednesday was found in Arras (Pas-de-Calais). “He was arrested in a shelter for the homeless,” announced this Sunday to Le Parisien the public prosecutor of Évry-Courcouronnes.

The man fled after being interned, under court order, in a psychiatric center located in Bures-sur-Yvette (Essonne). He took advantage of an authorized outing during the afternoon inside the garden of this medical establishment to flee.

The man would have come from the north of France

The man is suspected of having, on October 23, made death threats against several passengers while he was on board a train linking Massy station to Nantes station. The travelers had to be evacuated. “This hospitalization follows his inability to be placed in police custody as noted by a doctor,” specifies the Évry public prosecutor’s office.

Since then, significant research has been launched. His trail was found thanks in particular to video surveillance images. In particular, we see the man getting on a train leaving for the north of France. “Apparently, he came from there,” it says.

Placed in police custody, the man was again placed in a psychiatric institute after seeing a doctor. He was placed in a department establishment, under close surveillance.
