Street evangelism is a practice that has existed since the beginning of the early Church, when Jesus Christ and his disciples walked the streets, going from city to city, announcing the Good News. Fortunately, to this day this teaching has brought good results.
An example of this was the reconciliation of a former worship leader who had strayed from God’s ways. He had no idea if the Lord would touch his heart when he came across a moment of worship performed by singer Ryan Horton, together with Tiffany Hudson, member of the Christian band “Elevation Worship”.
Horton was doing his traditional street evangelism, a practice he carries out with the support of other brothers in Christ, always in public places such as squares, subway stations and similar.
On the 1st of this month, in December, the evangelist was praising God on a street in New York, United States, when the former worship leader approached. The man burst into tears when he felt the Holy Spirit acting in his heart, bringing to mind his first love.
“As we sang that day, the demons trembled because I believe the Holy Spirit was present,” Horton said. “He said he wanted nothing to do with God, but as he walked through Union Square, he heard us worshiping.”

In a video published on social media, it is possible to see the moment in which the man sings “Do It Again” (“Do it again”), from “Elevation Worship”, along with the evangelists. Street evangelism was producing yet another fruit for the Kingdom of God.
“God still represents you. The simple ways in which God acts are undeniable. He is real and he is behind us no matter where we are,” Horton said. Internet users who watched the recording exalted the name of the Lord, highlighting the importance of street evangelism.
