DMDK President Vijayakanth Hospitalized Again

Chennai: DMDK president Vijayakanth has been hospitalized once again. Reports indicate that he has been admitted to the Myatt Hospital in Chennai for treatment due to ill health.

This is not the first time that Vijayakanth has been hospitalized recently. He was previously treated in the hospital for three weeks and had returned home on the 12th. Despite his health concerns, he continued to participate in the DMD general committee meeting. However, he has now been admitted to Myatt Hospital again.

In response to questions about his health, a press release issued by DMUDIKA stated, “National Progressive Dravida Kazhagam President Vijayakanth was brought to the hospital for a routine check-up after 15 days. He is in perfect health. After the examination, he will return home the day after tomorrow.”

Vijayakanth has been struggling with health issues for a few years. Following a kidney transplant surgery, he has been frequently visiting the hospital for check-ups. His latest hospitalization came after developing symptoms including cough, fever, and chills, leading to his admission to Myatt Hospital in Manappak, near Guindy, Chennai on the 18th of last month.

During his hospital stay, Vijayakanth was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) and required artificial respiration at times due to difficulty breathing. However, he showed progress in his health and was discharged from the hospital on the 12th.

Vijayakanth’s hospitalizations have raised concerns about his ongoing health struggles. The DMDK leader’s health will continue to be monitored closely as he receives treatment in the hospital.
