Likewise, Biden and the emir of Qatar have discussed “strategic relations between the two friendly countries”, as well as “other regional and international issues of common interest”, as reported by the QNA news agency.
Qatar is one of the countries, along with Egypt and the United States, that act as mediators to reduce hostilities between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), which controls the Palestinian enclave.
