Pope Francis appoints Bishop Jorge Enrique Izaguirre of Chosica (Peru)

The Press Office of the Holy See reported this Wednesday, December 27, about the appointment of Bishop Jorge Enrique Izaguirre Rafael as bishop of the Diocese of Chosica (Peru).

Pope Francis has granted this new position to the prelate of the Peruvian country after the resignation presented by his predecessor, Mons. Norbert Klemens Strotmann Hoppe.

Bishop Jorge Enrique Izaguirre, until now bishop of Chuquibamba (Peru), was born on January 14, 1968 in Casma, Ancash, diocese of Chimbote (Peru) and was ordained a priest on February 15, 1997.
