Hwang, a double in one half
In a very offensive match, the South Korean striker made his mark by scoring a double against Brentford. Taking advantage of his opponents’ unacceptable defensive errors at this level, Hwang first recovered a back pass that was not strong enough to enter the goal with the ball (14′). Before reveling in another defensive error, he got rid of the last defender with superb control and deceived the Brentford goalkeeper for a double in the first half (28′).
City in pattern
Manchester City were scared but reacted well. Trailing after returning from the locker room, Pep Guardiola’s men were able to count on Phil Foden authoring a sublime left-footed strike to come back level with the Toffees (52′). Before Julian Alvarez transformed the penalty to take the lead again (63′) and Bernardo Silva showed all his genius by cleverly lobbing Pickford after a poor restart (86′). The second period of Citizens is a model of reaction with a still imperial Rodri in the middle.

Brentford play Santas late
Of the four goals conceded, three were kindly gifted by the Brentford defense to their evening opponent, Wolverhampton. Two gross errors in the first half which allowed Hawng to score a double (see above). Before giving yet another counter-attack ball to the attack of the Wolves who will not be asked to score Bellegarde (78′) and add to the score (1-4). With this new setback, the Bees are therefore in 14th place, just 4 points from the relegation zone.
Regrets for Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace may have regrets at the end of this London derby. Beaten by Chelsea (2-1), the Eagles failed to realize all the highlights they had. Micheal Olise, author of a nice goal (46′), seemed very alone in the Crystal Palace attack. Eze was not sharp and it was he who was penalized with a foul on Madueke, who would convert the winning penalty (2-1, 89th). Jordan Ayew tried but still had too much waste to worry the defense of Blues despite his decisive pass for Olise.
