Applications Now Open for NIFT 2024 Entrance Test
National Institutes of Fashion Technology (NIFT) have announced the commencement of applications for their entrance test for various fashion designing courses. The last date to apply for the NIFT 2024 entrance test is January 3rd.
NIFT is a group of fashion schools in India providing undergraduate and postgraduate programs in fashion design, fashion technology, and fashion management. The undergraduate courses include accessory design, fashion communication, fashion design, knitwear design, leather design, and textile design. Similarly, Masters of Design programs (MDes), Master of Fashion Management (MFM) and Master of Fashion Technology (MFTech) are also being offered.
To be eligible for the NIFT 2024 entrance exam, candidates must have completed 10th and 12th from a recognized Board of Education, be under 24 years of age, and qualify the NIFT entrance exam. Age relaxation is available for SC/ST and PWD candidates.
The selection of students for NIFT institutes is done through an entrance exam, and the application registration is currently in progress. The application fee for general category candidates is Rs. 3,000, while SC/ST and differently abled candidates have to pay a fee of Rs. 1500. For Designing and Fashion Technology courses (BDes, BFTech), the application fee is Rs. 4,500 for general category candidates and Rs. 2500 for SC/ST and differently abled students.
The entrance exam for NIFT 2024 is scheduled to be held on 5th February in 60 cities across the country. The hall ticket for the exam will be released in the 3rd week of January and can be downloaded from the official website.
Candidates can apply for the NIFT entrance test on the official website nift.ac.in. The results of the entrance exam are usually released in March, and the final exam will be held in April with the results being announced in May.
