Samsung Plans to Break the Trend with Lower Launch Prices for Galaxy S24 Series

The past year has seen a significant increase in the prices of digital products and services, but Samsung is looking to buck the trend by slightly lowering the launch prices of its upcoming Galaxy S24 series. Leaked pricing data in Europe suggest that Samsung is planning to offer its new models at lower prices compared to their predecessors.

According to the leaked data, the Galaxy S24 will be priced at 899 euros in the European market, compared to the opening price of 949 euros for the Galaxy S23. Similarly, the S24 Plus model will be launched at a price of 1,149 euros, compared to 1,199 euros for the Galaxy S23 Plus. It’s worth noting that the European edition of these models will come with Samsung’s Exynos 2400 chipset, rather than Qualcomm’s Snapdragon system that was used in the previous generation.

In the case of the S24 Ultra model, there is actually a slight increase in price, going up by about 50 euros to 1,449 euros. However, the base memory has been upgraded from 8 gigabytes to 12 gigabytes, while the option to upgrade the media storage volume from 256 to 512 gigabytes comes at a cheaper price of 1,569 euros, compared to 1,579 euros in the previous year.

It’s important to note that the leaked prices might be affected by tariffs and local agreements in different countries, and are not binding for all markets where the devices will be launched. However, Samsung is known for launching its flagship devices with attractive promotions, including additional discounts and free accessories for early buyers.

The lower launch prices for the new Galaxy S24 series could make Samsung’s latest smartphones more accessible to a wider range of consumers, and may potentially disrupt the trend of rising prices for digital products and services.
