On Thursday afternoon, a 40-year-old German attacked a 38-year-old Pole with a knife in an apartment in Salzburg-Gnigl, the Salzburg police reported. The attack was preceded by an argument. According to police, both the suspect and the victim come from the homeless community. “After the attack, the woman ran out of the apartment into the street with the knife in her hand,” said a spokesman for the Salzburg police. A passer-by then became aware of the German and called the emergency number.
The arriving police were able to arrest the woman in the area of the crime scene. According to information from the Red Cross, the man was seriously injured.
