Of the 24 transformers from its client Vinci Energies, 02 were respectively delivered to Avakpa, Comé, and Ouèdo; 04 in Sèmè-kpodji, Athiémé and Gakpé, all localities in southern Benin; 02 in Dassa-Zoumé and finally 02 in Savè in the hills department, 150 km from the capital Cotonou. Two others will be transferred from Gakpé to Savè. Shipped from the Port of Istanbul (Turkey) for GE transformers and that of Casablanca (Morocco) for NEXANS transformers, this equipment was received in successive waves on several ships at the Port of Cotonou where it was unloaded then stored before being shipped. be transported by road on specific vehicles to be delivered intact and in complete safety.

Between the lines : AGL Benin was selected following a call for tenders to ensure the transport of these 24 transformers, as part of the PAD-SBEE Project (Benin Sustainable and Secure Access to Electric Energy Project). Indeed, specialized in the transport of heavy packages and in several other areas of activity (logistics, customs, handling, etc.), the AGL Benin teams were able to safely organize the convoys of cargo to the various sites in addition to ensure their perfect integrity throughout the journey to the great satisfaction of the customer. “This transport operation of a batch of 24 transformers was carried out successfully and mobilized the know-how of all our experts at each stage until final delivery. It reflects our ability to implement solutions and means adapted to our long-term experience to effectively respond to complex logistical challenges in various growth sectors such as energy. », said the Benin-Niger Cluster General Director of AGL, Arnaud Bouhier.
