In recent months, Evan Fournier’s NBA minutes have been rare, very rare even. But the departures of RJ Barett and Immanuel Quickley to the Toronto Raptors this Saturday, in exchange for the British-Nigerian OG Anunoby, allowed the Frenchman to return to competition for 17 minutes. Against the Indiana Pacers, the winger scored 10 points, including a three-point basket in the second quarter.

On the floor, Fournier made three steals, two rebounds and two assists with a 3 of 10 shooting. But the Frenchman was unable to prevent the defeat of his team on the Pacers floor (140-126), who overtook the Knicks in the Eastern Conference standings.

Away from the competition by his coach Tom Thibodeau, Evan Fournier is having a real difficult season, following on from the last one, where he only played 27 matches, his lowest total, by far, since he played in NBA. Not the best way to prepare for the Olympic Games at home next July.

Gobert solid, the Pistons finally win

On the French side, Rudy Gobert was also on the floor last night, participating in the Timberwolves’ victory against the Lakers (108-106) with 13 points and as many rebounds to quell the attempts of the tandem Anthony Davis (33 points) and LeBron James (26 points). Finally, even though he only played 10 minutes, Kilian Hayes (no points, 1 rebound and 4 assists) saw his Detroit Pistons team finally win an NBA game after a record series of 28 defeats. A victory (129-127) against the Raptors which will undoubtedly not erase a catastrophic year 2023 for the Pistons.
