The beginning of 2024 means a huge headache for several coaches, who will be deprived of some of their main figures for around a month. The arrival of January brings with it new editions of both the African Cup of Nations (CAN) and the Asian Cup, which involves calling up the best players from the respective continents.
In this sense, Portugal is no exception to the rule and Portuguese clubs will be deprived of some of their protagonists between January and February. Between pre-calls, official calls and a small exercise in futurology, in the sense of trying to predict one or another name that, in the absence of official information yet, could be on the final selection list, the zerozero worked on a compilation of the names that will (or could) be absent from national competitions at the beginning of January.
