The head of state highlighted the approval of 48 security laws during his mandate, although he noted that these numbers seem “insufficient” in the face of a crime of high public connotation, and he assured that addressing them is a priority of the Government.

In a new edition of Online PresidentPresident Gabriel Boric answered questions on social networks and took stock of his management in 2023.
“I hope that during January the pension reform in the Chamber of Deputies. I hope we reach an agreement as quickly as possible because this has to be thought about in the long term. Our commitment is to raise the PGU to at least 250,000 pesos,” he said.
He added that “in addition, there solidarity components that allow those who are in more complicated situations or are being discriminated against, such as women, by the system, to have the right to a fair pension.”
Gabriel Boric was also consulted about the actions carried out against the security crisis that affects the country. In this regard, he highlighted the plans Streets without Violence and the delivery of police vehicles to Carabineros, along with the 48 bills on combating crime that have been approved during his administration.
