Aquaship and Intership have joined forces to form one of the largest operators of aquaculture service vessels in the world. This merger has been possible thanks to the investment of American Industrial Partners Capital Fund VII, LP, which has become the majority shareholder of both companies.
The new combined company will have a fleet of 39 vessels and nearly 700 collaborators that will operate in Chile, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada and Norway. And you will be able to benefit from significant access to capital, facilitating the execution of ambitious growth plans to meet growing demand for diversified aquaculture services from new and established clients.
Aquaship is the only company that owns and operates vessels in all four main areas of aquaculture services. On the other hand, Intership has built one of the most modern fleets of wellboats or live fish transport vessels in the world. In addition, it has proven to be an innovative company by introducing a new freshwater treatment for sea lice and gill diseases suffered by salmon, which does not harm marine life.
