Mercedes-Benz GLS Facelift: Updates and Changes
German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is set to launch the GLS Facelift model in the Indian automobile market on the 8th. This will be the first car to be introduced in the Indian market this year.
Last year, Mercedes-Benz successfully launched 10 car models in India, including the EQE, the company’s third electric vehicle for the country, as well as the GLC and AMG SL 55 Roadster. Now, the company is gearing up to bring more new models to the Indian market, with the GLS Facelift leading the way.
The flagship GLS model, which was originally launched in India last April, will receive updates and changes with the Facelift model. Both the exterior and interior of the car are expected to feature significant updates, including a redesigned bumper, updated LED headlamps, new front grilles, and high-gloss black surrounds. The interior will also see updates such as new upholstery, an updated dashboard, and the MBUX infotainment system with three display modes.
In terms of powertrain, the GLS Facelift will retain the existing 3.0-litre diesel engine, capable of producing 549 bhp and 730Nm. It will be paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
The launch event on the 8th is expected to reveal the price details of the GLS Facelift. However, reports suggest that despite the major updates, the SUV will maintain its old charm in the Indian market.
