One particularity is that Disney seeks to unify Star+ with Disney+ to have a single platform with all its content.. Star+ has sports content and self-produced series, while Disney+ has Disney series and movies such as Marvel, Pixar or Star Wars. In this way, Disney+ will broadcast the LigaPro.
GolTV continues to be the owner of the audiovisual rights of LigaPro and the programs that the sports channel has have a high probability of moving to Star+/Disney+.

LigaPro teams complain about GolTV debt
One day after Deportivo Cuenca made public a delay in payments by GolTV, Independiente del Valle gave credence to the veracity of the information and mentioned the same thing: “six months of debt.”

Miguel Ángel Loor’s view on GolTV
This week, Miguel Ángel Loor used his social networks twice to thank GolTV for the contribution it makes to Ecuadorian soccer, appreciating that it remained firm in times of pandemic. «During 2023 GolTV has paid almost 32 million dollars month after month. The debt (from 2020), which was 16MM, is now around 12MM. Without yet collecting the judgments won. From that debt, generated by the pandemic, GolTV decided in a favorable way for us NOT to deduct a single dollar.
«To date, Ecuadorian football has invoiced approximately 160MM, of which we must finish collecting those 12MM. Now, from flows it could be seen that part of what was paid this year was to cover the debt and obviously those 4 months (not 6) are from this year. But the reality is that from January to November (December will be paid in the next few days) it has been paid without problem.
