Blumhousethe famous horror film producer, will not rest this 2024. After having had a successful year with Five Nights at Freddy’s, they now set their sights on the next adaptation of a video game: Dead by Daylight.
The asymmetric multiplayer of Behaviour Interactive will be brought to the big screen soon. The portal ‘Collider‘ decided to talk to Blumhouse’s executive producer and vice president of feature film development, Ryan Turekwho told details regarding the enthusiasm there is to start recording the film.
Turek defines the film as a «celebration of the terror that is the video game itself«, explaining that they will be guiding the adaptation of Dead by Daylight towards the fans, taking as an example what they learned in Five Nights at Freddy’s. On the other hand, the producer says he is a big fan of the horror video game, and has even taken time away from trying other things like Alan Wake 2.
Of course, it seems that the adaptation is still in its infancy since they are found «giving creative spins» how to address it. One of the important points of DbD is the inclusion of iconic characters from terrifying sagas, although they also have ‘murderers‘originals. Anyway, everything revolves around the ‘Body‘, this powerful figure who develops the tests where they place the survivors and the murderer on duty.
