Laguna Seca will always be a special route. Some of the most epic battles of the Motorcycle World Championship have taken place there, and to this day many competitions continue to take place there. For the oldest it is a circuit that is held in special affection. AND Today we have the opportunity to get on (albeit virtually) one of the latest sports shoes to hit the market.
Ahead, 25 minutes of pure excitement on the newcomer Kawasaki ZX-4RR, the 400 cc four-cylinder sports car from the house of Akashi. Enjoying a motorcycle like this in such an idyllic layout is not something we can contemplate every day, and it is the opportunity that William Ow gives us, a young YouTuber who shows us the skills of the Japanese motorcycle.
“Epic battle with another ZX4RR”says William. At the time he was recording, Laguna Seca had just been repaved, and that is why he says that “the surface has much more grip and greater traction”. The Japanese supersport is wearing Pirelli SC3 tires that were previously heated to 75 degrees.
The bike itself is stock, although it says it will reduce the sprockets in the drag kit. That means that he is going to give free rein to the 77 HP at 15,000 revolutions from the 400 cc four-cylinder engine. A very fun little beast that only weighs 188 kilos in running order, and that also comes very well served in terms of the cycle part.
Between his components We find an inverted SFF-BP fork signed by Showa that offers regulation in extension and compression, accompanied by a ‘back-link’ type rear monoshock in the rear. To brake in the tricky curves of Laguna Seca, it has powerful four-piston radial calipers and monobloc construction that are responsible for biting two 290 mm diameter semi-floating discs at the front. The Japanese woman comes well prepared.
