The Ministry of Education (Mineduc) published in the Official Gazette Ministerial Agreements No. 3902-2023 and 3903-2023, which establishes the 2024 school calendar for educational centers in the public and private sectors, the latter authorizing the start of classes of all educational levels, daily, annual and semi-annual plan is on January 8, while in the public sector, it will begin in the month of February.

PRIVATE SECTOR
Ministerial Agreement 3903-2023 established the 2024 school calendar for private, cooperative and municipal educational centers. According to the information in the DCA Legal Edition, the start of classes for all educational levels, daily, annual and semi-annual plan is on January 8.
The mid-year break will take place from June 24 to 30. Meanwhile, the last day of school in 2024 will be October 4. While the end-of-cycle evaluation for all educational levels daily and weekend plan: From October 7 to 13 and the closing of the school year will be October 31.

PUBLIC SECTOR
According to Ministerial Agreement No. 3902-2023, on January 3, the corresponding personnel will take office, except for the actions of personnel 011, janitor and cook positions in line 031.
Next, on January 15, the resumption of administrative staff activities in educational centers will take place, daily, annual and semi-annual plan. Likewise, the takeover of teaching staff with transfer actions will take place on January 16.
Meanwhile, from January 20 to 21, the resumption of activities of administrative staff in educational centers will take place, weekend, annual and semi-annual plan.
For the month of February, according to the information, the activities are assigned as follows: February 1, the corresponding personnel will take office in the educational centers. Also, it is the beginning of the work of janitors and cooks of line 031.
Next, on February 15, the school year will begin at all levels and modalities, daily, annual and semester plan. Likewise, this day the Sports Initiation and Training Schools Program begins at the national level.
From the 15th to the 23rd, the integration of the School Risk Management Committee in educational centers will take place, as well as the appointment of a school health manager, prevention and care commission according to Ministerial Agreement 3-2021.

The extraordinary period for assigning codes for educational centers will take place from April 15 to 12. From February 15 to May 1, registration in the Educational Records System (SIRE) continues
According to the agreement, the last day of classes for the daily, annual and semi-annual plan in the public sector will be November 29, 2024 and the last day of classes for the weekend, annual and semi-annual plan will be November 24 .
