Chennai: A woman was beheaded by her husband who tried to sexually assault her daughter under the influence of alcohol. The deceased has been identified as 43-year-old Prakash. The incident took place at Otteri in Chennai. Prakash, who is an alcoholic, came home drunk on the day of the incident. Late at night, his wife Prema was shocked to hear her daughter Pushpa crying.
When she ran away, she saw her husband behaving rudely towards his daughter. Prema stopped her husband. Later they got into an argument. When his son came here too, Prakash started physically abusing his son too. Seeing this, Prema got angry and attacked Prakash with a hammer. Prema was injured in the attack. Prema later informed the police about the incident. Police reached the spot and took out Prakash’s body and sent it for postmortem.
Although the murder case was registered, Prema was sent home on the pretext that the mother had done anything to save her daughter. Police have registered a case of murder while defending himself.
